                             🎨Color Poems🎨

Kia ora everyone, in class we have been doing color poems. We had to think of a color and make a poem. For example : Purple like the nice smelling lavender that grows in the field. Purple like the plum that I nicely peeled. We could make as many has we can think of with the rainbow colors. We had to make the last word in the second line rhyme with the last word in the fourth line. I made a lot of different poems that I hope you like. Here they are!

Bike skills!

                               🚲Bike Skills🚲

Aloha bloggers and teachers. On the 23rd of November we had bike skills. We got to learn how to get on and off the road safely, this is how. First stand on the foot path/ pavement with your bike in front of you then look right and left to look for car if there are no cars you can place your bike on the road, the front wheel must be in a slight angle. After that get on  your bike and look back over your right shoulder to see  if any cars are coming, when it is clear then put out your left or right hand to signal which way you are going then go. If you are going right then before you go you must put out your right hand for three seconds then look back a second time this look is called a life saver look then start peddling.

We learnt how to play a game call The Box Game and there is another version called Turbo Box Game. The Box Game is when we ride in a box shape and the box gets smaller. If you put your foot down then you are out and if you knock into a person then you and that person is out. I won one round and came second in two. To help us balance we played another game called the Turtle Race where you have to go as slow as possible to get to the other side. We learnt how to play lots of different games to help us ride our bikes. Like Green light Red light. I learnt how to use my bike at the age of three or four.Thank you for reading my blog and please leave a comment!✌😄😎

Skateboarding

                             🛹Skate boarding🛹

What's up bloggers! Today we had people come over to teach us how to use a skateboard. We got two session and we learnt a few tricks like Tik-Tak, Crab walk and Carving(leaning on the skateboard to turn). We did not just talk about using skateboards we got to use them. After we learnt how to do some basic tricks we got to play What's Up Wolf. Its like playing Wolfy Wolfy what the time but on a skateboard and we did not have to ask whats the time. When the wolf turned around we had to stop if he turned and someone moved then they had to move 4 steps back. We could bring our own skateboard or use one of theirs. We played this game so we can learn how to stop on a skateboard.

If you go skateboarding remember to use a helmet. In the second session we learnt how to do a wolly flip. The are 2 different ways 1 is when you place the sandpapered bit on your feet then do a little jump to flip the board on its wheels and land on the board. The other way to do it was to place the board with the sandpapered bit on the back of your legs then jump back. We also learnt how to properly  step on the back of the board  and catch it in your hand.Thank you so much for reading my blog and please leave a comment, bye.👋😁😎

Wonder Project.

                          Wonder project

Hello again bloggers and teachers, in Te Waka Ako we have been doing a Wonder project. In the project we have been learning about rockets and how they go higher an faster. We have also  been learning about Newton's laws. Someone named Si hang came to teach us about rockets and how we should make our own rockets. For our rockets we could add as many fins as we wanted and we got to add decoration. For the body we us a 1.5 l bottle and we could make the fins and the decorations out of cardboard or plastic. We then got to do a test flight and see what we did wrong or right and how far it went like for e.g. we could have added to much hot glue or to little. during our test flight some of our fins came off and some of the others students fins or decorations came off. it was a really fun experience and we are going to try again next week. Our rocket went 12 m. Blog ya latter.

Production

                         Jasmine and Aladdin

Hello everyone on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday last week we did a production about Jasmine and Aladdin. But in our version of the movie no one got married, well almost no one. In our story the characters are Omar the villein, his partner Gee wiz, Jasmine, Aladdin and his cat Persia, Jeanie, Sultan, Sultana, 8 palace guards, the market place dealers, the snake charmer and the 4 raskil kids, mamalon, papalon and babalon the fish, Professor Chatarunga and Professor Quadratic and the camels. We had 9 scenes. My role was being one of the palace guards. We did not have a lot of lines but the most any of us had was two to three lines. We got make up and the teachers helped us a lot.
